Bachelor star Jackson Garlick reveals he has finally graduated after NINE YEARS of university

Bachelor star Jackson Garlick has finally graduated from university after studying for nine years. 

The reality star, 28, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the happy milestone and poke fun at himself.  

Jackson received his Bachelor in Psychological Science, a three-year degree, from the University of New South Wales.

‘After nine years, two failed subjects, three deferrals, a suspension and a course change, I graduate today,’ Jackson wrote.

The proud graduate, who shared a slew of joyful photos of his graduation day with his family, went on to explain university fell down the priority list. 

‘Most people do this course in three years but working full-time and playing football meant sometimes uni fell down [my priorities] he wrote.

Jackson, who works as a sales executive in his dad’s famous business, Garlo’s Pies, said he started an economics degree in 2012 when he was fresh out of high school but things changed over the past decade. 

‘[When I started] I was driving a truck for Garlo’s Pies, playing in the Under 20s for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Julia Gillard was Prime Minister and Greg, Murray and Jeff were still pumping it as the original Wiggles,’ he joked.  

He finished his post with an inspiring message to his followers, encouraging them to keep going at it.

‘Persistence beats resistance,’ he wrote.

Jackson was inundated with congratulations from his friends, including Bachelorette Angie Kent. 

‘Amazing!! Congrats Jackson!!!’ Angie wrote. ‘Woohoo congrats legend!’ Brittany Hockley added. 

‘Congratulations big lad,’ Luke Burgess added.    

Jackson is now dating influencer Lyndsay Gates and they have been in a relationship for the past two years.  

During his time on Bachelor In Paradise, Jackson forged a love connection with Brittney Weldon, 27. 

The pair confirmed they split soon after filming ended.
